Jal Sangam se Jan Sangam – Ekta ka Utsav unfolded in a powerful display of national unity at Patel Chowk, Delhi, where sacred waters from 25 revered rivers across India were offered at the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Leading this symbolic tribute were Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Education Minister Ashish Sood, Union Minister of State Pavitra Margherita, and MP Bansuri Swaraj.
The event began with a spirited 3-km Unity March, echoing chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai!” as students, NSS volunteers, MY Bharat members, and educators walked shoulder to shoulder. Their message was clear: unity is not just a memory—it’s a movement.
Education Minister Ashish Sood reflected on the legacy of Sardar Patel, calling the celebration of “Sardar @150” a moment of introspection. “This is not just a tribute,” he said, “but a reminder to build the India Patel envisioned—united, resilient, and inclusive.”
The sacred water, collected by 150 students and teachers from rivers like Jhelum, Brahmaputra, Narmada, and Godavari, was poured at the Yamuna confluence—a gesture symbolizing the heartbeat of India flowing through its rivers and people.

Sood reminded the audience of Patel’s monumental role in stitching together 562 princely states into one nation. “Delhi’s diversity is Patel’s dream in motion,” he said. “From Kashmir’s fragrance to Bengal’s traditions, every corner of Delhi tells a story of unity.”
He urged the youth to carry forward this legacy through service and solidarity. “India bends, but never breaks,” he concluded. “Let this march be our pledge—to keep Maa Yamuna clean and Maa Bharati united.”
