Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Vice Chairperson of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), has issued an important message to all property taxpayers in the NDMC area regarding the annual property tax for the financial year 2025–26.
Under Section 70 of the NDMC Act, 1994, the assessment list for all lands and buildings within the NDMC jurisdiction has been duly prepared and authenticated. This follows the public notice released on 16th April 2025.
In cases where petitions against the NDMC Bye-Laws (2009) are currently pending before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, the Rateable Values listed are provisional. These entries will be subject to revision following the disposal of notices issued under Section 63(1) of the NDMC Act and should be considered interim, he informed.
Further, Chahal said the assessment list is also available online at www.ndmc.gov.in. Taxpayers can log in using their Property Identification (PID) number as the User ID and D&C number as the password to view their property details.
Chahal also said that the NDMC is being sending physical copies of property tax bills. If any taxpayer does not receive the bill by 4th June 2025, they may collect a duplicate copy from the office of the Accounts Officer (Tax), located in Room No. 9009, 9th Floor, Palika Kendra, between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
To encourage timely payments, Chahal announced that:
• A 10% rebate will be granted for payments of current tax made on or before 30th June 2025.
• A 5% rebate will apply for payments made up to 30th September 2025.
He urged all taxpayers to pay their property tax promptly. Timely compliance will not only ensure rebate benefits but also support NDMC’s ongoing mission to build a smart, clean, and modern city—aligned with the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047.”
