CM Rekha Gupta Directs Officials: Implement the E-Office System Fully

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has directed the heads of all government departments to ensure that ongoing development projects across Delhi are completed on schedule, with continuous monitoring by responsible officials. She emphasised that the capital’s progress towards a “Developed Delhi” will not be impeded by financial constraints, noting that the Delhi Government has an adequate budget and the Central Government is providing full support. The Chief Minister further instructed that the e-office system be strengthened and utilised to its full potential, stressing that no development work should face obstruction under any circumstances.

A special meeting was held at the Delhi Secretariat with the heads of all departments to review the progress of ongoing development projects, public service initiatives, and administrative reforms. The Chief Secretary and other senior officials were also present. During the meeting, Mrs Rekha Gupta issued clear directives that all capital projects outlined in the budget must be implemented without delay, and their progress reviewed regularly. She stressed that senior officials must continuously monitor these initiatives and take immediate, effective action to resolve any issues.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the Delhi Government has passed a record budget of one lakh crore, ensuring that no project will face financial constraints. She added that she will continue to review projects regularly to ensure their timely completion.

Rekha Gupta also stated that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and the Central Government are providing full support to make the capital a “Developed Delhi,” so budget issues will not arise. She expressed satisfaction with the success of digital governance and emphasised promoting it further, along with ensuring the full implementation of the e-office system. She noted that out of 199 departments, 119 have adopted this system, but this is not yet sufficient. The Chief Minister instructed the remaining departments to join the e-office system immediately and to ensure the complete digitalisation of offices.

In line with the goal of a clean Delhi, the Chief Minister stressed the active participation of all departments in the “Kude Se Azadi” campaign during August. She also directed that complaints received through the PGMS portal must be addressed efficiently and within stipulated timeframes.

Gupta reiterated that the government’s aim is transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance, ensuring that citizens receive timely and improved services. She emphasised that achieving this goal requires collective effort from all departments.
