In a major crackdown on cybercrime, the Delhi Police West District Cyber Police Station has dismantled an inter-state cyber fraud syndicate, arresting 27 accused during a week-long nationwide operation. The coordinated raids were conducted simultaneously across 11 states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Bihar, and West Bengal.

According to police officials, the special operation led to the seizure of 25 mobile phones, 28 SIM cards, 20 banking cards, one POS machine, a motorcycle, and several bank-related documents used in carrying out fraudulent activities.

Investigators revealed that the arrested accused were linked to at least 10 major cyber fraud cases involving financial cheating of nearly ₹1.5 crore. During the probe, authorities also identified suspicious transactions worth approximately ₹13.91 crore routed through bank accounts associated with the syndicate. Additionally, around 150 complaints registered on the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP) were found connected to the accused.

Police said the gang was actively involved in multiple forms of cyber fraud, including investment scams, APK file-based fraud, impersonation on WhatsApp and Instagram to deceive victims, credit card fraud, task-based online scams, and visa-related fraud schemes.

Officials stated that further investigation is underway to identify additional victims, trace financial trails, and apprehend other members linked to the network. The operation marks a significant step in curbing organized cybercrime and protecting citizens from digital financial fraud.
