Indian Idol Winner Prashant Tamang Passes Away, Police Probe Underway

Indian Idol Season 3 winner Prashant Tamang has tragically passed away in Delhi. Police confirmed that his wife rushed him to a private hospital in Janakpuri, where doctors declared him dead.

Prashant, son of the late Madan Tamang and resident of Raghu Nagar, Delhi, was not only a celebrated singer but also part of the upcoming web series Paatal Lok 2.

Southwest Delhi Additional DCP Abhimanyu Poswal stated that Sagarpur Police received the hospital’s alert and immediately began investigation. Statements from Tamang’s wife and relatives are being recorded, while the postmortem report is awaited.

Death of Indian Idol S3 winner Prashant Tamang

Date and Time of MLC – 11.01.2026 at 1510 hrs from Mata Chanan Devi Hospital, Janakpuri vide MLC No 480/26, DD No 55A.

Deceased details – Prashant Tamang r/o Raghu Nagar, Delhi, Age 43 Years

He is Indian Idol Season 3 winner and was part of Patal Lok 2 web series.

His wife had brought him to Mata Chanan Devi Hospital for treatment where doctor declared him bought dead.

Action Taken – On receiving the said call, IO reached at Mata Chanan Devi Hospital and collected the MLC. After this, he shifted the dead body to DDU Hospital for Post Mortem.

The statement of the deceased’s family member and relatives were recorded, wherein they stated that they have no suspicion on any person and stated that deceased slept well in night but he didn’t wake up in morning. PM of the deceased is being conducted at DDU Hospital and Crime Team inspection was conducted at the address of deceased. PME was conducted and body handed over to family of deceased.
