MCD Unveils Smart School Web App: One Click to Classroom Progress

Municipal Corporation of Delhi organized a grand event today to mark the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram. A web app was also unveiled by the Education Department of the MCD.

Education minister Ashish Sood expressed his heartfelt congratulations on the completion of 150 years of Vande Mataram and on the historic occasion of the launch of the “School Web App.” He said that this is not just an app but a new chapter in India’s education system. One that will accelerate our journey from Digital India to Developed India in 2047. Ashish Sood said that this proves that we don’t just talk about change but also implement it.

Sood said that our aim is to create such an education system that your grandchildren can study in government schools. He said that students from municipal schools are IITians, top officials in the Indian Army, CEOs of multinational companies and doctors. Shri Sood asked that most of you have studied in government schools but why is it that your children do not study in government schools? Ashish Sood said that under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Rekha Gupta we will transform the schools of the MCD and the Delhi Government to such an extent that while your children may be studying in private schools but your grandchildren will be studying in government schools.

We will make every classroom a smart class. He said that the government schools will be equipped with ICT labs, language labs, etc. Teachers burden will be reduced through AI in schools, attendance will be recorded using facial recognition and teacher training will be conducted through AI. He said that many such experiments will be implemented in the future. Ashish Sood said that previous governments said that the MCD should raise funds on its own but we promise that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi will never face any shortage of funds.

Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh said that Vande Mataram composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee is not just a song but an immortal expression of devotion, reverence, and pride for Mother India. Today, as the song completes 150 years we pay homage to all the brave freedom fighters who made “Vande Mataram” their heartfelt call.

The Mayor also remembered Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel saying that he realized the dream of a strong and united India. The Mayor called on everyone to pledge to make our country stronger more educated and empowered. He said Furthermore initiatives like the Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s “Chalo School Chale” (Let’s Go to School) are a positive step in this direction.

Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh said that today is the time to embrace new technology and innovation and there is no better field for this than education. He said that through this app parents will be able to view their children’s attendance, progress reports and important school-related information directly on their mobile phones. Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh said that this app is a major change for schools. He said that decisions will now be based on data not guesswork.

Yogesh Verma Chairman of Education Committee MCD said that today’s event is a day to pay tribute to the voice raised 150 years ago to strengthen the country and break the chains of slavery. He said that the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that we must educate our children with the best technology. Working in this direction a web app has been launched today. This app will help guide the activities organized in schools and promote the progress of schools and students.

 when it comes to comparing private and municipal schools we can say that the work that used to be done in private schools is now also being done in MCD schools. Today MCD schools are improving and their infrastructure is also improving. He said that municipal school teachers are more skilled than private school teachers possessing much more knowledge as they have passed numerous examinations to reach this level.

Yogesh Verma said that we are receiving significant support from the Delhi government and have released Rs.18 crore to schools for minor repairs with each school receiving Rs.1 lakh to 1.5 lakh. Additionally funds will also be provided for the Boys Fund and teaching aids.

MCD Commissioner Ashwani Kumar said that Shri Bankim Chandra Chatterjee equated the land of the country with a mother. He said that we should love our country as much as we respect our mother. Shri Ashwani Kumar urged us to understand the meaning and spirit of Vande Mataram. MCD Commissioner urged the teachers present at the program to memorize this song to every student within a year and explain its meaning also. He said that I hope the teachers will spread this song to the public.

Ashwani Kumar said that the MCD has launched a web app developed by the MCD officials which is very simple and user friendly so that even primary school students can use it. He said that we have a responsibility to build the character of young children and I hope we will instill in them high character and make them patriots.
