New DCHFC Office to Open in Rohini Next Month; Instructions Issued to Work on Plans for Offices at Other Locations as Well

To provide affordable, simple, and transparent housing loans to the people of Delhi, the Delhi Cooperative Housing Finance Corporation Limited (DCHFC) will be expanded.

Delhi Government’s Minister for Cooperation, Ravinder Indraj Singh, issued necessary directions to DCHFC officials in a departmental review meeting in this regard. As part of this initiative, a new DCHFC office will be opened in Rohini next month, which will directly benefit residents of North-West Delhi and adjoining areas. This will be the second DCHFC office in Delhi after Siri Fort. Instructions were also issued during the meeting for the continuous expansion of DCHFC.

During the review meeting, the Cabinet Minister conducted a detailed assessment of the corporation’s performance, loan disbursement, recovery status, financial strength, and future expansion plans. Extensive discussions were held on expansion strategies, public awareness campaigns, and future roadmap.

Ravinder Indraj Singh stated that cooperative sectors were severely neglected by previous governments. The current Delhi Government’s priority is to ensure that middle-income groups, economically weaker sections, and members of cooperative housing societies receive housing loans at affordable interest rates. For this purpose, instructions have been issued for the first time to establish new branches of DCHFC.

He further emphasized strengthening public outreach and making publicity efforts more effective so that maximum people can benefit from these schemes. The Minister directed officials to ensure smooth functioning of the Rohini office and to prepare a practical plan for opening new branches at other suitable locations.

The Cabinet Minister also stated that DCHFC will be further strengthened technologically to make the loan approval process simpler, time-bound, and transparent. Fulfilling the dream of home ownership for the common people through cooperation remains a top priority of the Delhi Government.

Under the individual loan category, DCHFC provides loans for the purchase of flats or houses in cooperative group housing societies, allotment of flats or houses by DDA, renovation of flats or houses, and purchase of freehold properties.

Similarly, DCHFC provides loan assistance to societies for purposes such as bridge loans for purchase of land from DDA, bridge loans for completion of projects, replacement of lifts, exterior development of cooperative group housing complexes, installation of rainwater harvesting systems in society complexes, and installation of solar power systems in society complexes
