Plogging Drive Organised by MCD’s Karol Bagh Zone at Ring Road Naraina under “Dilli Ko Kude Se Aazadi” Campaign

Karol Bagh Zone of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) organized a Plogging Drive today at Ring Road, Naraina, as part of the ongoing “Dilli Ko Kude Se Aazadi” cleanliness campaign.

Speaking about the initiative, Mayor of Delhi, Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh, reaffirmed the MCD’s resolve to eliminate garbage from the city. “Inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi is determined to win the fight against waste and build a cleaner, more sustainable future,” he said.

The plogging drive not only contributed to cleaning the area but also promoted awareness among citizens about their role in maintaining cleanliness and reducing plastic waste. The “Dilli Ko Kude Se Aazadi” campaign continues to gain momentum across all MCD zones, uniting citizens and authorities in this mission for a garbage-free Delhi.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior officials and local residents alike. Chief Secretary of the Government of NCT Delhi, Dharmendra,MCD Commissioner Ashwani Kumar, Additional Commissioner Jitendra Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Karol Bagh Zone, Swetika Sachan, and other senior officers of MCD took part in the drive, showcasing their commitment to a cleaner and greener Delhi. A large number of residents from the surrounding areas also joined hands in the effort, contributing to the spirit of collective action and civic responsibility.
