In a major push towards civic transformation, Delhi’s Education Minister and Janakpuri MLA Ashish Sood laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹5.5 crore in the Pankha Road area. The initiative promises to reshape the locality into one of the most modern and livable zones in Delhi.

Under this ambitious redevelopment plan:

- Toe walls with grit plaster and iron grills will enhance safety

“For years, Janakpuri’s cries for help were ignored. But today, under the leadership of CM Rekha Gupta, we’re not just hearing those voices — we’re acting on them.”

Residents of Janakpuri, Vikaspuri, Uttam Nagar, Najafgarh, and Nangloi have long battled broken roads, stray animals, and unsafe infrastructure. This project marks a turning point — a visible shift from civic neglect to proactive development. “We’re building not just roads and drains, but trust and pride,” said Sood. “With the support of RWAs and citizens, Janakpuri will become a model neighborhood.”
