Rising above the politics of blame and accusations, the BJP government believes in working for the welfare of the people of Delhi – Mayor, Raja Iqbal Singh
Delhi Mayor, Mr. Raja Iqbal Singh today expressed happiness over the BJP’s victory in the ward committee elections held across 12 zones of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. He stated that this is a victory for the people of Delhi and will further strengthen the city’s development.
Singh said that BJP had fielded candidates for the post of chairperson in 8 out of 12 zonal ward committee elections, and the party emerged victorious in all eight. Additionally, vice-chairpersons elected in 9 zones are from the BJP, and the BJP candidate from the South Zone also won the election for the Standing Committee.
BJP’s success in the MCD signifies that a new era of development is set to begin. He criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, stating that under its rule, politics was prioritized over development. Now, with the BJP in power, citizens will be provided with improved civic amenities.
Singh emphasized that cleanliness is a primary responsibility of the corporation, and collective efforts will be made to bring about positive change. Children in MCD schools will receive quality education, and the schools’ infrastructure will be strengthened. Furthermore, arrangements will be made to ensure better access to primary healthcare for all.
The Mayor concluded by stating that the BJP government believes in working for the interests of Delhi’s citizens by rising above petty politics and has already drafted a roadmap to implement its plans in a systematic manner.
