Najafgarh Zone of Municipal Corporation of Delhi organised cleanliness drive and various activities under ‘Delhi’s Freedom from Garbage’ campaign.
Senior MCD officials accompanied by area Councillor Inderjeet Sehrawat carried shramdaan activities as a part of cleanliness drive in Mahilpalpur ward (ward 133) .
During the event, hundreds of people from area RWA, market associations and sanitation staff joined Councillor Inderjeet Sehrawat for the cleanliness drive on Rangpuri Road.
Apart from the main event, Cleanliness drive was conducted in 68 Public toilets and 4 community toilets in the zone. As many as 39 Toilets at identified locations are being upgraded with minor repair works.
Similarly, over 45 metric tonnes (approx) of Municipal solid waste was lifted from sites along railway tracks in the zone.
Nearly 200 public spaces were freed of defacement during the drive against illegal posters. Beautification of two walls were completed as a part of the swachta drive.
Municipal Corporation of Delhi is working with citizens and various stakeholders to make Delhi clean under the Cleanliness drive.
