An important meeting was held today at the Delhi Secretariat regarding the preparations for Chhath Mahaparv. More than 20 representatives from various Chhath Committees across the capital attended the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to ensure better facilities for devotees and make the festival celebrations more organized.
Chairing the meeting, Minister of Art, Culture & Language Kapil Mishra said that as per the directions of the Chief Minister, this year Chhath Mahaparv in Delhi will be celebrated with great grandeur. Kapil Mishra assured that the Delhi Government will extend full support to make this festival successful and magnificent. He further added that proper arrangements for electricity, water, and sanitation will be ensured for the convenience of devotees. The Hon’ble Minister also instructed all concerned departments to complete the preparations for Chhath Mahaparv well in advance.
Representatives from the Chhath Committees also shared their suggestions during the meeting. These included the arrangement of more camps, adequate supply of water tankers for devotees, proper cleaning of ghats, installation of a sufficient number of toilets, safe changing rooms for women, and timely preparation of ghats.
Concluding the meeting, Kapil Mishra assured the representatives that the Delhi Government will seriously consider all their suggestions. He emphasized that the government’s objective is to celebrate Chhath Mahaparv in Delhi with devotion, dignity, and grandeur, ensuring that every devotee experiences ease and convenience. Shri Kapil Mishra also gave his assurance that all ghats will be prepared before Navratri.
