Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav today inaugurated the election office of Sumita Malik, Congress candidate from Dwarka-B ward for the MCD by-election. He said that the arrival of Congress workers and people of the ward in large numbers for the inauguration of Sumita Malik’s election office shows the confidence of the Congress workers about her victory. He said that Congress has set a glorious example by giving due representation to women by fielding women candidates from 5 wards for the MCD by-elections.
Besides Devender Yadav and Congress candidate from Dwarka B Ward Sumita Malik, others present were District presidents Rajesh Yadav and Dharampal Chandela, Kamalkanth Sharma, Taswir Solanki, Shanti Swaroop, Abha Choudhary, woman District president Indravati, Raghubinder Shaukeen, Omdutt Yadav, Sukhbir Sharma, Ajit Bashist, all the block presidents of Najafgarh district, Mandalam presidents and Sector in-charges.
Devender Yadav said that in the Najafgarh district, two MCD wards are going for by-elections and the office bearers and Congress workers, including Block presidents under five Assemblies and the district presidents would have to work very hard till November 30 to ensure the victory of the Congress candidates. He said that Congress has fielded women candidates in both Dwarka B and Dichau Kala wards, which shows the priority Congress gives to women workers. He said that for a woman to come forward means that the entire family will have to work together to ensure her victory. Sumita Malik, the Congress candidate from Dwarka B ward, is an experienced Congress soldier who works closely with the organization, and Shri Devender Yadav appeals to the Congress workers to strive hard for her victory.
Devender Yadav said that the Congress organization was very strong from block to booth, as after the appointment of the Mandalam president and the Sector in-charge under the block president, 5 Congress workers have been made in each booth who are in touch with each to expose the failures of the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party as the Capital has been turned into a huge garbage dump yard.
Devender Yadav said that under the ‘Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan’, Congress workers are present in the area at all times to strengthen the organisation and are very active in party-related activities.
