These were illegal structures built on DDA acquired land which comes under green area maintained as biodiversity park and outside the ambit of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Special Provisions) Act of year 2014 to protect Jhuggi Jhopri (JJ) clusters from punitive actions such as demolition. The demolition programme was carried on 05.12.2025 at Tilpath Valley on Khasra Nos. 595, 596, and 620. A total of 9 properties were identified in this area for 1st phase of demolition.
Out of 9 properties, 5 properties (2 fully built farm houses, 2 semi built farm houses and 1 bounded vacant plot) were demolished, resulting in the reclamation of approximately 4.0 acres of land.
3 properties were not demolished, as they are under a stay order granted by the Hon’ble High Court.One property of khasra no. 596 was also left untouched in compliance with the directions of the Hon’ble Court. However, during the hearing held on 10.12.2025, the Hon’ble High Court did not grant any stay in the said case.
Therefore, the demolition of the said property was scheduled today on 12.12.2025 and successfully completed. Total reclaimed area is approx 0.5 acre
