15 July Water Minister Parvesh Verma announced on Tuesday that the Delhi government has started a drone study of tiny drains that release untreated sewage into larger drainage systems as part of its attempts to clean the Yamuna.
The largest of the city’s 22 large drains, the Shahdara drain, the Supplementary drain, and the Najafgarh drain, all of which empty into the Yamuna.
The total pollution load is increased by the approximately 300 sub-drains that enter these large drains, Verma told reporters.
