Har Ghar Tiranga Concert: CM Rekha Gupta Urges Citizens to Honour the Tricolour and Serve the Nation

The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, delivered an inspiring address at the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ musical concert held at Bharat Mandapam, celebrating the indomitable spirit of patriotism and national unity. The event witnessed an overwhelming turnout, with hundreds of Delhi residents joining in the celebration of the nation’s pride.

“If I were to sum up my feelings for freedom in a few words, I would say, Body dedicated, mind dedicated, and this life dedicated,” said the Chief Minister, urging every citizen to contribute selflessly to the nation’s progress. She called upon all Indians to not only speak of their rights but also fulfil their duties, emphasising that loyalty, sacrifice, and service to the nation are the highest honours one can achieve.

Rekha Gupta led the gathering in pledging that the honour of the Tricolour will never bow, and that its saffron courage, white peace, and green prosperity will forever inspire the hearts of all Indians. Reflecting on the historic moment of 15 August 1947, she described the Tricolour as both a witness to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and a promise for India’s future. Quoting the immortal line, “The desire for martyrdom still resides in our hearts”, she affirmed that the same spirit lives on today through the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and the Bharat Mandapam concert.

Welcoming renowned singer Shaan to the stage, the Chief Minister said his patriotic performances would unite every heart in attendance. She remarked that the true strength of the Tricolour lies not in its threads, but in the spirit it represents one that unites the nation and instils the courage to overcome every challenge.

From the freedom struggle to securing our borders, from achievements in science to triumphs in sport, Mrs Rekha Gupta said the Tricolour has remained a constant symbol of India’s courage and unity. Saluting the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she credited his unwavering resolve and visionary approach for inspiring unprecedented enthusiasm and unity during this year’s Independence Day celebrations.

“The Prime Minister has risen above politics to unite the nation in one spirit, while firmly positioning India on the world stage as an economic powerhouse with unmatched cultural pride,” she concluded.
