MCD-Appeals Citizens to Avail Benefits of Property Tax Amnesty Scheme 2025-26 – SUMPATTIKAR NIPTAAN YOJANA (SUNIYO).
In a citizen-centric initiative to promote compliance and offer relief to taxpayers, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has successfully organised 120 property tax camps across its 12 zones to assist property owners in filing their taxes and availing benefits under the amnesty scheme. Citizens are actively participating in the property tax camps organized by the MCD.
Seeing the enthusiasm towards the “Suniyo” scheme, MCD will organize more property tax camps in the coming days, to ensure that all eligible taxpayers are able to benefit from the Property Tax Amnesty Scheme 2025-26, SUMPATTIKAR NIPTAAN YOJANA (SUNIYO).
Under SUNIYO, taxpayers can avail a complete waiver of property tax alongwith interest and penalties , prior to the financial year 2020-21, provided they pay the principal amount of property tax, without any interest and penalty,for the current year (2025-26) and the previous five financial years (i.e., FYs 2020-21 to 2024-25)
