Leader of House of Municipal Corporation of Delhi Pravesh Wahi held an important meeting with Deputy Commissioner of Narela Zone Rakesh Kumar and Zonal officials today.
Narela Zone chairperson Babita and Vice chairperson Janta Devi were present on the occasion.
The main objective of the meeting was to comprehensively review the ongoing development works, civic and local issues in Narela Zone.
During the meeting, the local representative apprised the Leader of House about the lack of proper cleanliness of their respective wards and shortage of sanitation workers.
Taking cognizance of the matter,Pravesh Wahi directed the officials to ensure regular cleaning of garbage affected areas of the zone.
While giving instructions, Pravesh Wahi said that “We have to ensure regular cleanliness of the areas. For this, additional sanitation workers should be deployed in public areas like roads and markets in respective wards.”
He stated, “All the MCD school buildings which are in dilapidated condition should be repaired immediately.”
He stressed on the need of coordination between local councilors and sanitation workers in the area. He also directed officials to arrange more super sucker machines on order to strengthen the garbage disposal system.
Wahi directed officials to take necessary action for proper maintenance of parks, removing encroachments and improving schools infrastructure.
He instructed the officials to visit the wards regularly with the councilors and understand the complaints of the public and solve them on priority basis.
