A human chain was formed today in the Rohini zone of Municipal Corporation of Delhi to create awareness about cleanliness among the public. The human chain was formed from Madhuban Chowk to Rithala Metro Station with the help of school students, RWA members and MCD employees. Deputy Mayor Jai Bhagwan Yadav, Leader of the House Pravesh Wahi, Vice Chairman of Rohini Zone Narendra Kumar Singh, Councillors of Rohini Zone Ritu Goyal, Dharambir Sharma, Bobby, Poonam Saini, Deputy Commissioner of Rohini zone Prem Kumar Mandal along with corporation officials and local citizens participated in the event.
Deputy Mayor Jai Bhagwan Yadav said that the Hon’ble Prime Minister of country Narendra Modi had started the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan 11 years ago. Working In this direction the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Rekha Gupta had started the “Delhi Ko Koode se Azadi” campaign from 1st August and today to create awareness about cleanliness among the citizens, a message of cleanliness has been given by forming a human chain from Madhuban Chowk to Rithala Metro Station in Rohini Zone.
Jai Bhagwan Yadav urged the citizens to put the garbage in the garbage vehicle and he requested the citizens to separate wet and dry garbage and then put it in the garbage vehicle. He said that cleanliness is a continuous process and unless we get the support of the citizens, we will not be able to clean Delhi. Shri Jai Bhagwan Yadav said that we are running a public awareness campaign for cleanliness in every area.
Leader of the House Pravesh Wahi said that to create awareness about cleanliness among the public a human chain has been formed today from Madhuban Chowk to Rithala Metro Station with the help of school students, RWA members, MCD employees. Pravesh Wahi said that on the instructions of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is being run under which the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta has started a campaign “Delhi ko Koode se azadi” from 1 to 31 August. He said that we are running cleanliness campaigns in different areas every day.
