Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva expressed deep sorrow over the death of a young motorcyclist Shri Kamal Dhyani who died after falling into a pit in Janakpuri and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Sachdeva said that the Delhi BJP family stands with the family of the deceased youth, and that Palam area MLA Shri Kuldeep Solanki remained in constant contact with the family, ensured all possible care during the youth’s treatment, and also participated in his cremation.
Virendra Sachdeva stated that as far as the accident is concerned, following the death of a youth in Noida recently, the Delhi government had been very alert, and on 24 January the Delhi Jal Board had issued a circular directing that proper barricades must be installed at every excavation site. The circular clearly stated that in the event of any accident, the project in-charge engineer and the contractor would be held responsible.

The Delhi BJP President said that immediately after receiving information about the accident, Janakpuri MLA and Delhi Government Home Minister Ashish Sood and Delhi Jal Board Minister Pravesh Sahib Singh visited the spot and ordered a thorough investigation into the barricading. It is certain that if any human error is found, the concerned person —no matter how senior the position — will not be spared and will be punished as per rules.
The Delhi BJP President strongly condemned the irresponsible statements made by “AAP” leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Saurabh Bharadwaj regarding this accident, saying that their conduct over the tragic death of a young man is akin to that of political vultures.
Shri Sachdeva said that if Arvind Kejriwal and Saurabh Bharadwaj have the courage, they should answer for the nearly 100 deaths that occurred during the monsoon month alone in 2024, the final year of their government, due to electrocution or drowning caused by waterlogging.
