Delhi Police’s AATS team of West District has busted a racket involved in dismantling stolen vehicles and arrested three accused from a godown in Issapur Khera village.
Acting on specific secret information on March 2, the AATS team launched a targeted operation against a gang allegedly involved in chopping stolen cars and selling the parts. A raiding team led by Inspector Mukesh Meena, under the supervision of ACP Operations Vijay Singh, conducted a raid at a godown in Issapur Khera being used for dismantling stolen vehicles.
During the raid, three accused—Noor Alam (28), a resident of Chanakya Place in Janakpuri; Shivam (21) from Mayapuri; and Govind (25) from Siwan district in Bihar—were caught red-handed while dismantling parts of a vehicle.

Police said the accused confessed during interrogation that they had dismantled a white Kia Sonet bearing registration number DL4CAZ8745 at the premises. Verification through the ZIPNET system confirmed that the vehicle had been reported stolen the same day through an e-FIR registered under Section 305(b) of the BNS at Prashant Vihar Police Station.
The police team recovered the dismantled chassis and roof portion of the vehicle, two number plates, a cut chassis plate, tools used for dismantling, and a truck allegedly used to transport stolen vehicles.
DCP West District Sharad Bhaskar said, “Our teams acted swiftly on credible information and dismantled a racket involved in chopping stolen vehicles. The accused were apprehended on the spot and the stolen vehicle was recovered in parts. Further investigation is underway to identify other members of the network.”
Further investigation in the case is in progress.
