Two Shooters Linked to Nandu-Bambiha Gang Arrested by Delhi Crime Branch

The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested two alleged shooters linked to the Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu and Bambiha gang, who were wanted in connection with firing incidents in Delhi and Ludhiana, Punjab. Police said the accused were allegedly acting on the directions of gangster Devender Singh alias Gopi Lahoria, who is reportedly based in Canada.

The accused have been identified as Harmanjit Singh, 23, a resident of Amritsar, Punjab, and Harshdeep Singh alias Billa, 22, from Ludhiana, Punjab. According to police, both have previous criminal cases registered against them.

The arrests followed an investigation into a August 16 firing incident at the residence of Umed Singh in Deenpur, Najafgarh. No one was injured in the incident. During the investigation, police developed human and technical intelligence and allegedly identified Harmanjit and Harshdeep as the shooters.

Police said the duo was subsequently apprehended near Bajeet Pur Crossing Bus Stop on the Bawana-Kanjhawala Road on August 19.

According to their preliminary interrogation, Harshdeep was allegedly approached for an assignment in Delhi at the instance of Gopi Lahoria. The accused allegedly travelled to Delhi by bus on August 14 and stayed near Dwarka Mor. Police said they were allegedly given a photograph of their intended target and instructed to eliminate him.

The duo allegedly collected two firearms and 19 rounds of ammunition from East Delhi on August 15. Police said they were allegedly promised a substantial sum for carrying out the assignment and received an initial payment of around ₹30,000.

On August 16, the accused allegedly reached the target area and spotted the person at an egg shop. Police said they pursued him towards his residence but refrained from firing after seeing women and children inside the house.

Police further said the accused subsequently travelled to Ludhiana, where Harshdeep allegedly fired two rounds in the air near “Pizza from Mexico” on August 17. The duo then allegedly returned to Delhi on the directions of Gopi Lahoria to complete the unfinished assignment.

The Crime Branch said the accused were apprehended while allegedly proceeding towards Najafgarh on August 19.

Police have recovered two semi-automatic pistols and seven live cartridges from the accused.

The Crime Branch suspects that the Delhi firing may be connected to a longstanding gang rivalry. According to police, Umed Singh is the brother of Ballu Pehlwan, who was murdered in 2024, and the murder was allegedly orchestrated by Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu.

Harshdeep allegedly has previous cases related to murder, NDPS, Arms Act and prison-related offences and was released from Ludhiana Jail in June 2026. Harmanjit allegedly has previous cases involving theft and robbery and was released from jail in July 2026.

The two accused were wanted in FIR No. 301/2026 of Chhawala Police Station, Delhi, and FIR No. 227/2026 of Sarabha Nagar Police Station, Ludhiana.

Further investigation is underway.
