Grand Cleanliness Drive Organized in Shahdara under “Delhi Ko Kude Se Azaadi” Campaign

The Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Satya Sharma, today actively participated in a joint cleanliness drive held in Shahdara North and Shahdara South zones under the ongoing “Delhi Ko Kude Se Azaadi” campaign. On the occasion, she personally took part in sweeping the road to convey the message of cleanliness and urged citizens to maintain hygiene in their surroundings.

Also present during the drive were Zone Chairman, Puneet Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Shahdara North, Abhishek Kumar Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of Shahdara South, Badal Kumar, along with senior officials of both zones and a large number of MCD staff.

Sharma also conducted an inspection from Shahdara Metro Station to Bhola Nath Nagar Road and issued necessary directions to officials regarding cleanliness arrangements and removal of encroachments.

Sharma emphasized that making Delhi clean and healthy is not solely the responsibility of the Corporation or the Government, but a shared duty of every citizen. She stated that if all residents collectively keep their homes, streets, and neighborhoods clean, Delhi can truly become garbage-free. Cleanliness is the foundation of a healthy society and a beautiful Delhi. She further appealed to residents not to litter and to make regular use of the facilities provided by the Municipal Corporation.
