Indraprastha Vikas Party has demanded from Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh and Standing Committee Chairperson Satya Sharma that contracts for garbage collection in the Central Zone should be issued immediately. Senior Municipal Councilor and IVP leader Mukesh Goyal and Hem Chand Goyal said that for the last two months, the problem of garbage disposal has become severe in the entire zone. There are heaps of garbage everywhere, local people are facing a lot of problems.
Both the leaders said that for this a proposal had to be presented in the standing committee which could not be brought in time. An appeal has been made to the Mayor and the Standing Committee Chairperson to give strict orders to the officers to prepare this proposal and get it passed by giving anticipation or by calling a special meeting of the Standing Committee. So that the problem of garbage in the Central Zone can be solved.
