The Delhi Police Outer-North District has apprehended two individuals in connection with a fatal stabbing incident that occurred near Samaypur Badli Metro Station Gate-1 on the morning of March 1, 2026.
Incident Overview
- Around 01.03.2026, police received information about a stabbing near Gate No. 1, Badli Industrial Area.
- On arrival, officers found blood on the road.
- The victim, Ankit (20), resident of Raja Vihar, had already been rushed to Bhardwaj Hospital, Rohini, where doctors declared him brought dead.
- The body was later shifted to Burari Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
- A case has been registered under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at PS Samaypur Badli.
Apprehension of Accused
- Two suspects, Shashi Bhushan (22) and Shivam (25), both residents of Raja Vihar, were caught by the public while attempting to flee.
- They sustained injuries during the scuffle and were taken to Burari Hospital under police escort.
- Both remain under police guard.
Investigation & Motive
- Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and accused were acquaintances consuming alcohol together before the incident.
- A sudden altercation led to Shivam allegedly stabbing Ankit with a knife.
- The weapon was later recovered from a garbage pile near the scene.
