New Rajendra Nagar Bada Bazar area is infamous for death of UPSC aspirants died in Rau coaching drowning last year. Before onset of Mansoon BJP lead MCD Dupty Mayor along with area councillors
conducted an inspection of sanitation and civic amenities in Ward No. 141, Rajendra Nagar. He was accompanied by area Councillor Aarti Chawla, Deputy Commissioner of Karol Bagh Zone Swetika Sachan, other senior municipal officials, representatives from the RWA, and local residents.
During the inspection of key roads including Bada Bazaar Road and Pusa Road, the Deputy Mayor instructed municipal officials to remove all forms of encroachments. He emphasized that such obstructions are causing considerable inconvenience to residents and are hindering effective sanitation efforts.
While inspecting Ajmal Khan Road, Yadav directed officials to repair potholes and ensure proper road maintenance. He stressed the importance of preventing any waterlogging in the area, especially with the approaching monsoon season.
The Deputy Mayor also instructed officials to verify food shop licenses and take strict action against unlicensed establishments. He highlighted that unauthorized food vendors not only contribute to encroachments but also pose health risks to the public.
Deputy Mayor Jai Bhagwan Yadav reiterated that the BJP-led Municipal Corporation of Delhi is committed to providing all necessary facilities to the citizens of Delhi. He added that regular inspections across various localities are being undertaken to further improve civic services and ensure a clean, safe, and livable environment for all residents
