Acting on the directives of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi Health & Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh on Wednesday conducted a field inspection in Pandav Nagar (Ward-200) of the Laxmi Nagar Assembly Constituency to assess sanitation and cleanliness measures on the ground. During the visit, he interacted with local residents to understand their concerns and take first-hand feedback on civic services. The Health Minister emphasised that under the ongoing drive to enhance sanitation, pollution control, and civic facilities, a detailed review was carried out in Ward-200.
Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh took serious note of heavy waste buildup inside a 15-foot-deep drain at Budh Marg, Fazalpur in Mandawali, and instructed officials from the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to take immediate action. He directed that the drain be cleaned thoroughly within one week, instructing that any delay or negligence will be viewed strictly.
Reviewing the sanitation initiatives being carried out under the cleanliness drive, the Hon’ble Minister evaluated dust-control measures and air-pollution mitigation actions across the locality. After assessing the ground situation, he instructed concerned officials to immediately remove accumulated dust and conduct regular water sprinkling wherever required.
He further said that he will personally revisit the site in the coming days to monitor the status of compliance and instructed that no negligence in sanitation work will be tolerated.

Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh stated that resolving public grievances at the grassroots level remains a top priority of the government. All Ministers are conducting regular field inspections across Delhi to ensure effective delivery of civic services. He assured that any shortcomings identified during inspections will be rectified swiftly to transform the national capital into a cleaner, greener, and world-class city.
He further highlighted that several stronger interventions to curb dust and air pollution are already under implementation.
тАЬI want to assure the people of Delhi that our government is working round-the-clock to improve conditions that had deteriorated over the past 11 years. The entire Cabinet is now regularly on the ground to listen to citizens and ensure timely solutions across the capital. Since assuming office, the government has prioritised a cleaner and better Delhi. Development works across Laxmi Nagar, Pandav Nagar, and the entire city are progressing at a steady pace. All MLAs and councillors are continuously monitoring public- issues to ensure timely improvement wherever required,” he said.
Residents apprised the Minister of delays in garbage lifting, cleaning of major drains, road repairs, roadside encroachments, and poor sanitation services in a few lanes. Dr. Singh assured them that the government under the leadership of HonтАЩble Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta is fully committed to eliminating such problems from the root and further strengthening every essential civic service for the people of Delhi.
