Kirari Phatak to Nangloi Tracks Cleaned Under Intensive MCD Campaign

Municipal Corporation of Delhi is currently conducting a comprehensive sanitation drive aimed at improving the cleanliness infrastructure across the city. As part of this campaign an intensive sanitation campaign was conducted along the railway tracks extending from Kirari Phatak to Nangloi in the Rohini Zone. Rishita Gupta Deputy Commissioner of the Rohini Zone along with various officials and staff members of the zone were present during the sanitation drive and subsequent inspections.

During the intensive sanitation drive conducted along the railway tracks in the Rohini Zone approximately 60 metric tons of waste were collected. Additionally due to waterlogging issues at certain low lying areas along the tracks manual cleaning operations are currently being undertaken.

Deputy commissioner of Rohini Zone inspected Ward Nos. 37, 38, 39 and 40 to assess the sanitation situation. She expressed dissatisfaction regarding the condition of the CTU located on Main Mubarakpur Road and issued directives to have it cleaned on priority basis. The CTU situated near the cremation ground in Mubarakpur Village faces persistent waterlogging issues due to it being situated in low lying area. The Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to implement measures to prevent waterlogging and to ensure the thorough cleaning of the CTU. Furthermore during the inspection it was observed that small drains within the residential lanes were clogged with waste; instructions were issued to have these drains cleared as soon as possible.

Municipal Corporation of Delhi remains steadfast in its commitment to enhancing the city’s sanitation infrastructure. MCD is actively working on the basis of a meticulously formulated action plan at every operational level. MCD appeals to the residents of Delhi to refrain from littering and they are requested to segregate their waste at the source and dispose it directly into the designated waste collection vehicles. By making cleanliness a habit we can make Delhi clean and hygienic.
