Delhi Government has reacted on alleged rape incident and claimed no sexual assault with girl later died in mysterious circumstances. An incident occurred on 23.06.2025 at JPCH (Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital), Delhi regarding admission of a (around) 23-year-old female patient and who subsequently passed away during treatment at GTB (Guru Teg Bahadur) Hospital, Delhi (after getting referred from JPCH) on 24-06-25. There are some highlighted issues need to be addressed with respect to this incidence.
As per the report received from Hospital the patient was found lying in unconscious state on 21-06-25 in Sonia Vihar. Patient was brought to JPCH by Delhi Police and was given proper treatment. On 22-06-25 the patient was moved from Casualty Ward to HDU of JPCH. The patient reportedly went missing from HDU (High Dependency Unit) Ward in the early hours of morning of 23-06-25 and was later found in the Hospital Premises in the afternoon. After treatment the patient was referred from JPCH to GTB on 23-06-25 evening with diagnosis of suspected poisoning and during treatment she passed away on 24-06-25 night.
A Committee of senior Doctors/Officers was constituted on 23.06.2025 at Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital to enquire into the matter. As per reports submitted by Medical Supdt (MS) JPCH and revealed through medical examination of the victim/patient NO PHYSICAL OR SEXUAL ASSAULT WAS FOUND.
CCTV Cameras were functional outside HDU in the Hospital and as part of enquiry into this incidence, necessary CCTVs footages have already been collected and handed over to the Investigation Officer, Delhi Police for further investigation at their end.
On the basis of the Committee findings & CCTV footage, the details of the On-Duty Nursing Officer, Sanitation Staff & Security Guard has been shared with Investigation Officer Delhi Police on 25.06.2025 and further investigation is being carried out by Delhi Police.
Post-mortem will be conducted at GTB Hospital after completing necessary legal procedure by Delhi Police. As per details received from the GTB Hospital, the body of the deceased is presently preserved in the mortuary and the close relatives/acquaintances are being traced.
