#50KDevoteesStrong: Rohini Ghat to Accommodate Over 50,000 Devotees — Preparations Underway Across 7–8 Major Ghats: Gupta

Hon’ble Speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly and Local MLA Vijender Gupta, today inspected the Rohini Sector-7 Chhath Ghat along with Members of the local Chhat Seva Samiti to review the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Chhath Mahaparv, one of the most significant festivals of faith and devotion.

During the inspection, the Speaker took stock of cleanliness, levelling, lighting, safety, and public amenities being developed at the ghat and interacted with officials and local representatives overseeing the arrangements. Shri Gupta informed that the Rohini Chhath Ghat is being prepared to accommodate nearly 50,000 devotees, ensuring that all necessary facilities, from sanitation to lighting and crowd management meet the highest standards of safety and orderliness.

Gupta remarked that “Chhath Mahaparv is not only a festival of devotion but also an occasion to reaffirm our collective commitment to cleanliness, discipline, and harmony. It unites citizens across communities through faith and shared responsibility.”

Speaker added that he remains committed to promoting cultural and civic awareness, ensuring that major public festivals like Chhath are celebrated with dignity, order, and safety. “Every festival is a reflection of our collective character — when discipline meets devotion, Rohini truly becomes a model of civic harmony,”

Gupta concluded by expressing confidence that the arrangements at Rohini and other Chhath Ghats will make this year’s celebration memorable, safe, and exemplary, in keeping with Delhi’s tradition of faith and festivity.
