212.10 metric tons of construction and demolition waste and 29.66 metric tons of waste collected along the railway tracks in the Narela Zone

Municipal Corporation of Delhi has launched a special and comprehensive drive to strengthen Delhi’s cleanliness, remove waste, and to prevent dust pollution.

As part of this campaign a special drive was launched to remove waste lying around the railway tracks and clean parks in the Narela Zone. Additional Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Mittal; Deputy Commissioner of Narela Zone Raghavendra Meena and officers and employees of the Narela zone were present in the drive. 7 JCB machines, 6 tippers, and 21 Hiva trucks were used in the special cleanliness drive.

A special drive was launched to clean up legacy waste lying around the railway tracks in the Narela zone. Under this campaign 29.66 metric tonnes of legacy waste was cleared by cleaning an 8 kilometer stretch from Holambi Kalan to Narela and a 10-kilometer stretch from Nangloi to Ghevra.

To control dust pollution in Narela zone water was sprayed using jetting machines, water sprinklers, and ASGs on Auchandi Main Road, Bawana Road, Mundka Metro Station, R- Block Pooth Khurd, and Main Qutubgarh Road.

As part of the comprehensive cleanliness drive the park located in Pocket 14 of Rohini Sector 24, the park in front of Shastri Market Narela and the MCD park located in Sindhi Colony Narela were also cleaned.

The cleanliness drive also included cleaning of Dhalaos and areas around the FCTS situated at Nizampur Village, Akbarpur Majra Crossing Bakhtawar Pur, Jati Road Palla and C- Block Shahbad Dairy. Under the massive cleanliness drive carried out in the Narela zone 212.10 metric tonnes of construction and demolition waste was also collected.
