The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) intensified its city‑wide crackdown on unauthorized constructions and dangerous buildings, carrying out 28 demolition actions and sealing 6 properties across multiple zones on October 9.
The enforcement drive, spanning all 12 zones, targeted violations of the Master Plan of Delhi (MPD) and Building Bye‑Laws. Officials said the sustained action reflects MCD’s commitment to safeguarding public safety and curbing rampant illegal construction.
Yesterday, the Corporation had demolished 21 properties and sealed 4, underscoring the continuity of the drive. Today’s major actions were concentrated in Rajouri Garden, Vishnu Garden, Janakpuri, Vikas Nagar Extension, Baba Farid Puri, Karampura, New Moti Nagar, Mandoli, Harsh Vihar, Nehru Vihar, Ram Nagar Extension, Jyoti Colony, Patparganj Village, Mayur Vihar Phase‑I, and Ganesh Nagar.
MCD reiterated its zero‑tolerance stance, directing field officials to maintain strict vigilance and take penal action against violators. The civic body emphasized that enforcement will continue with focus on unauthorized constructions, dangerous buildings, and other violations that pose risks to residents.
