Additional Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi Liladhar Meghwal inspected the pollution hotspot at Anand Vihar today. Deputy Commissioner of Shahdara South Zone Badal Kumar along with senior officials and employees of MCD were present on the occasion. During the inspection the Additional Commissioner inspected the hotspot and urged the authorities to coordinate with various stakeholders to work towards pollution control.
Eight buses parked improperly on the road were challaned for obstructing smooth traffic flow. During the inspection the Additional Commissioner stated that parking for 150 buses would commence soon which would alleviate congestion on the PWD Main Road. Liladhar Meghwal stated that the construction work on the road behind the AQI station would be completed expeditiously by deploying additional workforce. He also directed that the smog tower near the AQI station be operated for extended hours.
Additional Commissioner Liladhar Meghwal stated that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is taking every possible measure to control pollution. Municipal Corporation employees are cleaning the roads with jetting machines to prevent dust from flying on the roads.
