For the First Time in MCD History: Pension Adalat Settles Pending Pension Cases in Two Days

Like Traffic Lok Adalat, In a first Pension Court has been held in the history of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Through the Pension Adalat old pending pension cases were resolved on the spot and pension payment orders were issued to the beneficiaries. Finance Department of Municipal Corporation of Delhi organized a Pension Adalat at the Municipal Headquarters and all 12 Zonal offices as part of the Sewa Pakhwada.

Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh said that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi organized a two-day Pension Adalat during Sewa Pakhwada. Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh said that First time in the history of MCD such Pension Adalat  was organised under the dynamic leadership of the executive wing of MCD. He stated that a total of 234 cases including those of retired employees, dependents of deceased employees and notional increments were settled at the Pension adalat and pension payment orders were issued on the spot.

Seva Pakhwada is being organized from the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17th September to the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on 2nd October. He stated that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is organizing various public welfare programs during this period.
