International Nurses Day celebrated with dignity at Hindu Rao Hospital

International Nurses Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity today at the prestigious Hindu Rao Hospital under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. The occasion highlighted the dedication, compassion, and invaluable contribution of the nursing community towards healthcare services.

Satya Sharma, Chairperson of the Standing Committee, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, attended the program as the Chief Guest. She inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp and stated in her address that nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system. She praised the courage, commitment, and humanitarian service shown by nursing staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, calling it a lasting source of inspiration. She also assured nursing officers that their pending demands would be addressed on priority.

During the programme, Satya Sharma further assured the nursing staff that issues related to promotions, shortage of staff, and other pending administrative matters would be resolved through necessary action on a priority basis.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Suman Mehndiratta presided over the programme and appreciated the dedication and service spirit of the nursing staff. She stated that the nursing team of Hindu Rao Hospital continues to serve patients with complete commitment, compassion, and professionalism, forming a strong pillar of the hospital’s work culture.

The occasion also featured colourful cultural performances by nursing officers. Group dances, songs, and theatrical presentations beautifully reflected the talent, enthusiasm, and team spirit of the nursing community.
