Mayor of Delhi Pravesh Wahi is not only working on a war footing to improve sanitation arrangements in the capital but is also seriously focused on simplifying various administrative procedures to provide relief to citizens. In this direction, taking an important decision, Wahi has removed a major obstacle in the regularization process of buildings up to 105 square meters (approximately 127 square yards).
Mayor Pravesh Wahi said that the mandatory physical inspection by an engineer for the regularization of such buildings has now been abolished. This decision will provide significant relief to citizens from the long-standing complex procedures and unnecessary delays.
Under the new system, the entire process will now be completed online. The building owner will only need to submit an undertaking certified by an authorized architect and deposit the prescribed fee. Thereafter, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi will complete the regularization process within the stipulated time frame.
This decision will not only provide convenience to citizens but will also accelerate the disposal of long-pending regularization cases. He said that making the process simpler and more transparent will save both time and resources for the people and will also increase the revenue of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
Mayor said that the BJP-led government in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is continuously working under the guidance of the successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and the leadership of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to provide the best possible civic facilities to the residents of Delhi. He added that the objective of the municipal administration is to ensure quick resolution of public grievances while making governance simpler, more transparent, and citizen friendly.
