The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Tuesday conducted a special enforcement drive against illegal dairy activities in the Keshav Puram Zone, targeting areas near Haiderpur Canal in Shalimar Bagh and the NSP area near Shakurpur K-Block.
During the operation, officials detected an unauthorized dairy unit and found an individual involved in illegal cattle rearing. The drive was jointly carried out by the Veterinary Services Departments of Keshav Puram and Rohini Zones.
As part of the action, MCD seized two motorcycles and several milk drums allegedly used in the illegal dairy operation. A total of 11 animals, including six calves and five cattle, were also impounded.
The civic body said it will continue strict enforcement against unauthorized dairy activities to ensure public health, sanitation and compliance with municipal regulations.
