Pravesh Wahi expresses his gratitude to centre BJP leadership, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi BJP President
Delhi Mayor candidate Pravesh Wahi today filed his nomination for the post of Mayor in the upcoming elections of the MCD at Municipal Secretary office in MCD Civic Centre.
Pravesh Wahi was serving as the Leader of the House in the MCD until now. During his tenure as the incumbent Leader of the MCD House, he played a pivotal role as a major link between the BJP party leadership and MCD councilors.
Incumbent Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh, Leader of the House and Standing Committee candidate, Jai Bhagwan Yadav, Chairperson of the Standing Committee, Satya Sharma, the Deputy Mayor candidate, Monika Pant; along with Rajpal Rana, Ramkishor Sharma, Neeta Bisht, and other councillors.
Speaking on the occasion, Wahi expressed his gratitude to the centre BJP leadership, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi BJP President and his fellow councilors. He stated that the immediate resolution of civic issues in Delhi remains his partys top priority.
Pravesh Wahi stated that the public welfare policies and schemes presented in this years MCD budget would be effectively implemented for benefit of citizens.
Pravesh Wahi is actively associated with MCD functioning during his previous tenures. Prior to this, Pravesh Wahi led North MCD Standing Committee as its Chairman from 2016 to 2017.
Pravesh Wahi serves as the MCD Councilor for Rohini-E Ward (Ward No. 53). Since 2007, Pravesh Wahi has been serving as a councilor for various wards within the Rohini for three sperate tenures and he has also held the position of Zone Chairman thrice.

He has been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) throughout his political career and has been rendering continuous service to the state-level activities of the BJP Pradesh since 1980.
He served as a Mandal head from 2004 to 2007. Sh Wahi is a graduate of Delhi University and hails from a Punjabi Khatri family.
