EduLife 2.0 Launched to Enhance Transparency, Student Monitoring in MCD Schools

Hon’ble Mayor of Delhi Pravesh Wahi, today launched the Education Department’s portal ‘EduLife 2.0’ at the Satya Narayan Bansal Auditorium in the Civic Centre. The Mayor also unveiled a book titled Achievement Chronicle which highlights the accomplishments of the MCDs Education Department.

Mayor Pravesh Wahi said that the current era is defined by Artificial Intelligence and technology; consequently this initiative by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s Education Department will prove helpful in implementing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Digital India’ campaign within municipal schools. Mayor Shri Pravesh Wahi said that the ‘EduLife 2.0’ portal would facilitate the direct involvement of parents in the teaching-learning process.

Wahi remarked that this portal would enhance the effectiveness and transparency of academic planning, student progress monitoring the availability of digital teaching resources and school administration within Municipal Corporation of Delhi schools. He stated that this initiative reflects the Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s commitment to providing quality and technology-enabled education in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Wahi said that children are the future of the nation and it is the collective responsibility of all to ensure that students in municipal schools receive the best possible facilities. He said that the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Rekha Gupta has extended all possible support to enhance facilities in the MCD schools.

Jai Bhagwan Yadav Leader of House and Standing Committee member acknowledged that while introducing new technology often brings initial challenges he urged all teachers to embrace this initiative wholeheartedly and contribute their best. He emphasized that MCDs objective is the holistic development of students studying in municipal schools.

Yogesh Verma Chairman of the Education Committee said that this initiative would bring municipal schools on par with private schools. He highlighted that MCDs Education Department is making efforts at every level for the welfare of the students. He recalled that last year on the occasion of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday funds for uniforms and other essentials were transferred directly to the students’ accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). He added that the ‘Edulife 2.0’ portal would enable parents to directly monitor aspects such as student progress, the distribution of mid-day meals and the quality of teaching. Shri Yogesh Verma said that the portal would enhance transparency within the Education Department and facilitate the delivery of quality education to students.

Amit Kharkhari Vice Chairman of the Education Committee thanked all the distinguished guests for attending the event. He reiterated the Education Department’s commitment to providing excellent facilities to the students.
