Despite police deployment being affected due to the ongoing Cockroach protest, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) continued its enforcement action against the misuse of residential properties in Karol Bagh Zone for the second consecutive day on Friday.
As part of the drive, MCD sealed the basements of three properties found to be misused for commercial purposes in violation of applicable regulations.
At Property No. 56/20, East Park Road, Karol Bagh, the basement being used by M/s Big Basket (Innovative Retail Concept Pvt. Ltd.) for commercial activities was sealed at three points.
At Property No. 67/6A, Satyawati Marg, New Rohtak Road, the basement operating as M/s Fitness Glow Gym was sealed at one point for commercial misuse.
In the third action, the basement of Property No. 5C/88, New Rohtak Road, Karol Bagh, being used as a godown, was also sealed at one point.
The enforcement drive was carried out despite limited police availability owing to law-and-order commitments related to the ongoing Cockroach protest. The action marks the second consecutive day of MCD’s sealing campaign in Karol Bagh Zone against unauthorized commercial use of residential premises.
MCD officials said the corporation will continue taking action against violations in accordance with the law.
