The accused, identified as Anuj Choudhari @ Fighter (36), resident of Ahmed Nagar village, Bulandshahr, was apprehended near Paper Market, Ghazipur, following a swift and well-coordinated police operation. Choudhari, who had been absconding since 2023 after securing bail, was wanted in the Fatehpur Beri murder case and had a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) issued against him by Saket Court.
During the raid, police recovered a semi-automatic pistol, four live cartridges, and a stolen scooty from his possession. Despite attempting to flee and resisting arrest, he was overpowered after a brief chase and scuffle.
Investigations revealed Choudhari’s deep involvement with the Randeep Bhati Gang, a criminal syndicate notorious for its operations in Delhi-NCR and Western UP. His criminal record includes over 30 cases of murder, attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy, Gangster Act, and Arms Act violations.
The arrest was carried out by a dedicated AATS team led by Inspector Anand Singh under the supervision of ACP Operations. The team acted on specific intelligence inputs, laying a trap and executing the operation with precision.
Police officials described the arrest as a “major achievement” that not only neutralizes a dangerous offender but also strengthens ongoing investigations into multiple heinous crimes. Authorities believe this will deliver a significant blow to the gang’s activities and aid in dismantling its network.
