Eighth Bomb Threat Targets Delhi Mayor’s Office, Police Launch Intensive Probe

The Mayor’s Office in Delhi was once again the target of a bomb threat this morning, marking the eighth such incident in recent months. The anonymous email, received at 9:07 a.m., warned of an explosion scheduled for 2:11 p.m. Promptly, the Mayor’s Office alerted security agencies and the Delhi Police, triggering a swift and thorough inspection of the premises.

Police teams, accompanied by specialized security units, combed through every corner of the office complex — from entry and exit points to sensitive internal areas. Officials confirmed that all checks were carried out in strict adherence to established security protocols, ensuring no lapse in precautionary measures.

This is not the first time the Mayor’s Office has faced such threats. On seven earlier occasions, similar warnings were issued, prompting the Mayor’s Office to formally request a deeper investigation from the Commissioner of Police. Officials have stressed that repeated targeting of constitutional authorities is a grave matter, demanding urgent identification of those responsible and strict legal action to deter future attempts.

Security experts note that such threats, even when false, are designed to instill fear and disrupt governance. The Mayor’s Office has reiterated its commitment to public safety and emphasized that malicious acts aimed at destabilizing institutions will not succeed.
