Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the closing ceremony of the two-day “Utkarsh Nari Samman, Yuva Swabhiman evam Prerna Vimarsh-2026” at Gautam Buddha University, emphasizing women empowerment, youth self-reliance, and cultural heritage as the foundation of a developed India.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted the role of women and youth in nation-building, noting that Uttar Pradesh now hosts over 24,000 startups, with nearly half led by women. He stressed that equal opportunities and respect for women are essential, citing initiatives such as Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, and housing schemes that prioritize women’s welfare.
Yogi Adityanath underlined achievements in employment and investment, mentioning that 9.5 lakh youth have secured government jobs in the past nine years, while 65 lakh employment opportunities are expected from ongoing industrial projects worth ₹15 lakh crore. He also pointed out the rise in women’s participation in the police force, which has grown from 10,000 in 2017 to 44,000 today, with plans to cross 50,000 soon.
Drawing inspiration from Ram, Krishna, Buddha, and national heroes, the Chief Minister urged youth to channel their energy towards self-reliance and cultural pride. He reiterated that Uttar Pradesh’s journey from heritage to development is being advanced through zero tolerance for crime and corruption, investment growth, and empowerment of women and youth.
RSS leader Swant Ranjan also addressed the event, stressing the importance of connecting with India’s glorious history and traditions to build a resilient future. He urged youth to understand their past and shape their dreams accordingly, linking cultural roots with national progress.
The event, marked by the release of “Keshav Samvad” and “Prerna Vichar” journals, celebrated the contributions of women and youth across diverse fields, reinforcing the message that collective participation is key to building a self-reliant and developed India.
